ACUPUNCTURE FOR CHILDREN

I love working with children and supporting families through the many stages of development. Chinese medicine offers a gentle way to care for little bodies and growing minds, whether your child is experiencing unsettled sleep, tummy troubles, recurrent colds, skin concerns, big emotions or simply needs a little extra support.

Acupuncture can be wonderfully supportive for children, but needles are just one option. Depending on your child's age and needs, treatment may include gentle laser, acupressure, massage, Acutonics® or Chinese herbal medicine where appropriate.

Every child has their own little personality, sensitivities and needs. I believe in meeting them where they are, finding what they feel comfortable with and working alongside you as their parent. My hope is that you and your child leave feeling more connected to your child's needs, with gentle ways to support them at home as well as in the treatment room. Theraputic outcomes may be different for each child and will depend on their receptivity as well as if the condition is chronic, complex or acute. Mostly I find children of all ages enjoy treatment and look forward to returning each week. I offer a package of 6 visits recieving one free of charge to reduce the financial cost and work towards a regular attendance towards greater outcomes. 

ACUTONICS

I love using Acutonics® as a gentle, nurturing way to support children’s wellbeing. It uses specially tuned tuning forks to create beautiful, soothing tones and vibrations that can be deeply relaxing for little bodies and growing minds.

I place the tuning forks on or near specific acupuncture points and meridians, using carefully selected frequencies as part of an individualised treatment. The sounds and vibrations offer a gentle way to encourage relaxation and support a sense of calm and balance.

Acutonics® may be used to support children who experience restlessness, difficulty settling, sleep challenges, stress, digestive discomfort or pain. Each treatment is guided by your child’s needs, age and comfort, creating space for them to slow down, settle and reconnect with themselves.

I love that Acutonics® offers children a way to experience Chinese medicine without needles. It can be a beautiful addition to a treatment, especially for children who are sensitive, curious or simply need a little extra help finding their calm.
